Mental health professionals working with the substance abuse population face unique ethical challenges due to the complex nature of addiction, its impact on behavior, and the vulnerable status of these clients. Addressing ethical considerations helps ensure that professionals maintain trust, provide appropriate care, and uphold legal and moral responsibilities, which are essential for fostering positive treatment outcomes.
