CE Course Description

Individuals spend almost one third of their life at work. Because so much time is spent in the workforce, it is important that it is a healthy place to be. This is why organizations are starting to really invest in and pay attention to the mental health of their employees. When the mental health of their employees is high, their business outcomes are also high. This is because the two are intrinsically linked. Unfortunately, stress and poor mental health at work are still quite common. Because mental health professionals are likely to meet people with stressful jobs and mental health disorders, it is important that they understand the current culture and climate of mental health in the workforce as well as can help individuals advocate for their mental health needs to be met at work. This course will review information related to workplace mental health, strategies to improve it, and programs available for ensuring those strategies are implemented.
