CE Credit Hours: 1.00 Continuing Education Credit Hours
CE Course Description
Psychotic disorders are mental disorders in which a person is significantly impacted to the point where the individual loses touch with reality. When a psychotic episode occurs, a person becomes unsure about what is real and what is not real and may experience hallucinations, delusions, off-the-wall behavior, disorganized speech, and incoherency. While schizophrenia is the most common psychotic disorder, several other disorders can cause psychotic symptoms.
