CE Course Description

Patients suffering from sleep issues often experience symptoms of mental illness. Additionally, patients with mental illnesses often struggle with sleep. Sleep disorders often result in driving accidents, reduced academic and vocational performance, and can increase the risk for suicide. Therefore, it is essential for mental health professionals to effectively identify and treat symptoms related to difficulty sleeping. This course will review information regarding sleep disorders and the various treatment methods ensuring that mental health professionals are adequately trained for supporting patients who present with sleep difficulty.
